Patna, 2 October 2026: For students still hoping to secure a seat through Bihar’s NEET UG counselling, the next opportunity begins tomorrow. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will open UGMAC 2026 Round 3 registration on 3 October. The board issued two Round 3 notices on 30 September, covering the application and choice-filling process. This round is for vacant MBBS, BDS, veterinary and fisheries seats after Round 2; AYUSH counselling is listed separately by the board.

The application deadline and the choice-locking deadline are not the same. Candidates should also note the earlier cut-off for giving consent, where applicable. The published schedule is as follows; all times are Indian Standard Time.

Fresh registration is available to eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates who did not apply earlier. Candidates who registered previously but did not complete their application and required payment can also use this window, subject to the board’s conditions. Those who took part in earlier rounds should check their individual eligibility, rather than assume they will automatically move to Round 3. The notice also sets conditions concerning admission already taken in a medical or dental college.

Candidates considering resignation or withdrawal from a Round 1 or Round 2 seat should check the applicable rules immediately. The reported window is 1–2 October 2026, so this step should not be left until registration opens.

Visit bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, open the UGMAC 2026 section and use the Round 3 portal when registration begins. Enter your NEET UG details, complete the application, upload the documents requested on the portal and pay the applicable counselling fee and security deposit. Check that the application and payment are successfully submitted—an unfinished form is not enough.

Next, arrange your preferred colleges and courses in order. Use “Save Choices” and then “Choice Locking”, and retain the confirmation page, fee receipt and choice slip. Check the updated seat matrix before finalising preferences: the board says further vacancies may be added if seats become available.

If allotted a seat on 14 October, download the order and follow its instructions for verification and admission. Keep your NEET admit card and scorecard, academic certificates, residence proof and any applicable category documents ready. For fees, document requirements and any schedule changes, follow the BCECEB notices and UGMAC prospectus rather than an older timetable found elsewhere.
