Patna, October 25, 2026: The Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2026 has reached a crucial and decisive stage. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has announced that the choice filling, choice editing and locking process for the UGMAC-2026 Stray Vacancy Round will close tonight, October 25, at 11:59 PM.
For aspirants still hoping to secure a seat, these final hours are extremely important. The board has also scheduled the release of the Rank Card for today, while the provisional seat allotment result is expected on October 27, 2026.
Why Was the Schedule Extended?
The BCECEB issued Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/16 on October 22, 2026, extending the counselling schedule. The decision was taken after several candidates complained about server-related and other technical difficulties, due to which they could not complete their consent and choice-filling process within the earlier deadline.
However, candidates must understand one important distinction — the opportunity for fresh registration is now over. Only the choice filling and locking window is available till tonight.

The UGMAC-2026 Stray Vacancy Round is not limited to MBBS and BDS alone. It includes:

B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, the field dedicated to the healthcare of animals and the management of livestock.)

The allotment will depend on vacant seats, NEET UG rank, eligibility and preferences. Candidates are advised to check the latest seat matrix before finalising their choices, as virtual vacancies may also be considered in certain situations.
Who Is Not Eligible for This Round?
The board has prescribed stringent eligibility criteria. The following candidates should not participate:

Candidates already admitted to an MBBS/BDS seat through UGMAC-2026 Round 1, Round 2 or Round 3

Candidates admitted through AIQ Round 1, Round 2 or Round 3

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the AIQ Stray Vacancy Round

Candidates already admitted to any medical or dental college in India, as per the applicable rules
Participating in violation of these rules may lead to cancellation of the seat and forfeiture of the security deposit. So, please verify your eligibility meticulously before proceeding.
How to Download the Rank Card and Lock Choices?
To download the rank card, visit the official BCECEB UGMAC portal, open the Stray Vacancy Round Rank Card link, and log in using your UGMAC ID and date of birth.
For choice filling, candidates should:
