The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has issued two corrigenda (correction notices) for Round 3 of Bihar UGMAC-2026 counselling. One fixes a typing error in the counselling fee and security deposit table. The other clears up a doubt about BC, EBC, SC and ST candidates who chose a different category in their application for private colleges.
Please note the notice numbers, as they are easy to mix up:
- The fee and security deposit corrigendum is Adv. No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/12, dated 03.10.2026.
- The category and eligibility corrigendum is Adv. No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/11, dated 02.10.2026.
Both notices are listed under the latest updates on BCECEB’s official UGMAC notice board.
Round 3: where things stand
BCECEB is conducting UGMAC-2026 counselling for admission to these courses, in government and private institutions:
- MBBS
- BDS
- B.V.Sc. & A.H.
- B.F.Sc.
The main Round 3 advertisement came out on 30 September 2026. The two corrigenda followed on 2 October and 3 October.
These corrigenda do not change the counselling schedule. They only:
fix the error in the payment table, and
clear the confusion about reserved-category eligibility for private colleges.
1. Fee corrigendum (3 October 2026): what was corrected?
The official PDF is titled “Corrigendum for Round-3 Online Application & Choice Filling” (Adv. No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/12, dated 03.10.2026).
BCECEB says that Point No. 9.(iv)(b) of the original Round 3 advertisement had a typing mistake in the headings of Column 2 and Column 3. Candidates must now follow the corrected fee and security deposit table. All other terms and conditions stay the same as in the earlier advertisements, including Adv. No. 2026/09 (30 September) and Adv. No. 2026/11 (2 October).

Suppose you have paid a security deposit of ₹10,000 or ₹5,000 for Government Veterinary/Fisheries, and later you want a self-financed B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.F.Sc. seat. In that case, you will have to pay a security deposit of ₹50,000.
3. What if your payment fails?
BCECEB has also given a clear warning about payment problems:
If money is deducted from your bank account but the portal shows the transaction as failed, you must pay the required fee or security deposit again to make sure the payment goes through.
If the required payment is not received in the Board’s account by the due date, your application will be treated as incomplete and you will not be eligible for counselling.
The amount deducted in a failed transaction is expected to be refunded later.
Money leaving your account does not mean the payment was successful. Always check the payment status on the portal.
4. Category corrigendum (2 October 2026): eligibility clarified
The corrigendum dated 02.10.2026 (Adv. No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/11) deals with one specific confusion among reserved category candidates.
BCECEB has clarified that BC, EBC, SC and ST candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 and applied to private medical or private dental colleges in Bihar will not be disqualified only because they chose UR, EWS, UR(DQ) or EWS(DQ) in their application.
Who does this apply to?
It applies if all of these are true:
- Your actual category is BC, EBC, SC or ST.
- You have qualified NEET UG 2026.
- You applied to private medical or private dental colleges in Bihar.
- You entered UR, EWS, UR(DQ) or EWS(DQ) in the form.
In the information available, this clarification is not mentioned for government medical or dental colleges, or for veterinary and fisheries colleges. It covers private medical and private dental colleges only.
What does DQ mean?
Here, DQ stands for Differently Abled Quota. That is why options such as UR(DQ) and EWS(DQ) appear.
5. Round 3 dates: don’t mix up the deadlines
As per the Round 3 schedule issued on 30 September, the key dates are:
|
Event |

|

14 October 2026 |
|
Allotment order download |
14–17 October 2026 |
|

Registration ends on October 6, but choice locking ends on October 9. These are two different deadlines.
6. Seat matrix (as reported)
According to available reports, a seat matrix of 1,634 seats has been mentioned. It includes MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. seats. Reportedly, this includes 345 government MBBS seats and 1,154 private MBBS seats, and the remaining seats are in the other courses.
Candidates should still look at the latest official seat matrix, because vacancies can change with upgradation and seat movement.
What candidates should do on October 5, 2026
- If you have not done it yet, complete Round 3 registration/application before October 6, 11:59 PM.
- If you registered earlier, remember the separate consent/payment deadline (up to 10 PM).
- Follow the corrected fee and security deposit table (corrigendum dated Oct 3).
- If you are a BC/EBC/SC/ST candidate applying to private medical/dental colleges, read the Oct 2 eligibility corrigendum carefully.
- Treat the registration deadline and the choice locking deadline as two separate cut-offs.
- Keep following BCECEB’s UGMAC notice board for official updates: bceceb
