NEET UG 2023 Exam date out; Know what is the eligibility criteria, admission process, exam pattern, and more
NEET UG 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG (NEET UG) date for admissions in MBBS, BDS, and Ayush Courses for the 2023 session. The exam will be held on May 7, 2023. NTA will soon announce the registration date. The students who are wishing to take MBBS admission will be able to see the NEET 2023 notification, application form, and NEET schedule at https://nta.nic.in and https://www.ntaneet.nic.in/.
Before the notification is out, students are advised to keep all their documents ready so that they can easily complete the NEET 2023 admission form. Along with the documents, students should have their photo, signature, and left and right thumb impressions in the scanned format. If the student does any mistake in the format while uploading the documents for NEET UG, the application form will be rejected so students need to check their documents and the format beforehand.

NEET UG 2023 important dates:
The NEET exam will be conducted on May 7, 2023. The exam conducting body NTA announced the date of the NEET 2023 Exam on 15 December. However, the full calendar is still not out. The NEET 2023 registration will tentatively start in the first week of March and the application window will likely last for a month. The National Testing Agency (NTA) might announce the exam notification with the important dates along with the NTA NEET 2023 application form in March.
NEET UG 2023 Eligibility:
Candidates should know the eligibility criteria before planning to sit for the exam just to avoid any future discrepancies. The basic NEET UG requirements are given below.
- The minimum required age for the examination is 17 years by December 31, 2023. He/she must have completed 17 years of their age by December 31, 2023.
- The Applicants should be Indian, NRIs, OCIs, Foreign Nationals, or PIOs.
- The applicants who want to sit for the examination should have studied Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and English from a recognized board.
- The students should have passed their intermediate exams with at least 50% marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. For the reserved category, the minimum mark limit is 40%.
Steps for filling the NEET UG 2023 application form:
- Firstly the students will do the registration for NEET UG 2023.
- After the registration, he/she will fill out the application form for the same.
- Then he/she will upload the required documents and images.
- Now the payment for the NEET UG 2023 application form will be made by the student.
- Lastly, submit the application form and take the printout of the confirmation page.
NEET UG 2023 Exam Pattern:

- The exam mode will be offline and the exam duration will be 3.20 hours.
- The number of questions asked will be 200 out of which candidates will have to attempt 180. The total marks will be 720.
- There will be 3 sections for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology section.
- In the Physics section, 35+15 questions will be asked. The marks for the Physics section will be 180 marks.
- The Chemistry section division will be the same as the Physics section and the marks will also be the same.
- In the Biology section, the number of questions will be 100, and the sectional marks for the same will be 360 marks.
- For every correct answer, +4 marks will be given to the students.
- For every incorrect answer, the student will get a -1 mark.
- 0 marks will be given for every unattempted answer.
NEET UG 2023 Admit Card:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the admit card for those who successfully registered for the exam. Although the release date of admit card is still not out by NTA.
NEET UG 2023 hall ticket is one of the most important documents from the exam point of view. Without this, the student can’t sit for the exam even if he/she has registered for the exam. Once NTA releases the admit card, students will be able to download it from the official website.
