Kolkata, September 19, 2026: The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has revised its tentative schedule for NEET UG Medical & Dental Counselling 2026. Candidates now get one additional day for Round 2 reporting and admission, and WBMCC has also released a detailed timeline for Round 3 and the Online Stray Vacancy Round. This revised schedule came through an official PDF dated September 17, 2026, and is currently up on the WBMCC UG counselling page.

Immediate update: an extra day for Round 2 reporting

As per the revised calendar, candidates who were allotted seats in Round 2 get one more chance to complete their reporting, document verification/re-verification, and admission:

  • Date: September 19, 2026
  • Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (as per server time)

WBMCC has asked candidates to bring their original documents, the required fee, and a bond (wherever applicable), since admission depends on successful verification at the reporting centre or institute.

A special note for upgraded candidates

For candidates who got an upgraded seat or college in Round 2, there's an extra step: they need to carry a server-generated relieving letter from their previous college, along with their documents and fee, to complete admission at their new institute. It's a good idea to follow the counselling portal's instructions carefully here to avoid any delays.

Private medical and dental colleges: check your reporting venue

Here's something worth double-checking — for private institutions, the admission process might not happen at the college itself:

  • Private Medical Colleges: admission is arranged at designated Government Medical Colleges in Kolkata (as mentioned in the linked notice on the WBMCC website).
  • Private Dental Colleges: the admission process happens at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College.

Since the venue can differ depending on the type of college, candidates shouldn't just go by the college name on their allotment letter — it's worth checking the latest venue notice on the official website first.

WBMCC has also put out its tentative Round 3 calendar. Here are the key dates:

  • Round 3 Registration: September 28 (11 AM) to September 30 (6 PM)
  • Fee Payment: September 28 (11 AM) to September 30 (midnight)
  • Verification: September 29, September 30 & October 1 (11 AM–4 PM)
  • Verified candidates list + Round 3 seat matrix: October 1 (after 5 PM)
  • Choice filling/locking: October 1 (6 PM) to October 4 (10 AM)
  • Round 3 result: October 8 (after 4 PM)
  • Reporting/admission: October 12, 13 & 14 (10 AM–4 PM)

  • Registration: October 15 (11 AM) to October 16 (6 PM)
  • Verification: October 16 & 17 (11 AM–4 PM)
  • Stray seat matrix: October 17 (after 5 PM)
  • Result: by October 23 (12 noon)
  • Reporting/admission: October 23 (2–6 PM), October 24 & October 26 (10 AM–4 PM)
