What MCC's Notice No. 24 actually says

MCC's Notice No. 24 (Ref: U-11011/07/2026-MEC) was issued to guide institutes and candidates — especially those who chose the FLOAT option in Round 2 — through the final steps: document uploading, verification at the institute level, resolving any discrepancies, and confirming admission.

As per the notice, allotted institutes had to confirm or cancel Round 2 admissions by 11:00 AM on September 19, 2026. Once institutes finished this step, candidates were told to log in to their MCC accounts and check their admission status after 12:30 PM on September 19.

Why September 19 matters in the Round 2 schedule

In MCC's latest revised Round 2 timeline, the reporting/joining window ran from September 12 to 18, 2026. September 19 is the next important step — this is when institutes verify joined candidates' data and MCC updates it on the portal. In simple terms, it's a final processing day where the admission outcome gets confirmed and updated.

An important warning for FLOAT candidates

The notice makes one point very clear: if an institute flags a discrepancy during document verification, the candidate has to resolve it within the given time and re-upload the corrected documents. MCC has warned that not re-uploading corrected documents after a discrepancy is raised can lead to the allotted seat being cancelled. This is probably the single most important point in the whole notice for candidates.

  • Log in to the MCC counselling portal.
  • Check your Admission Status — has the institute confirmed it or cancelled it?

One thing candidates should keep in mind: this isn't a new Round 2 result announcement. The Round 2 final result was already published earlier on MCC's UG page, dated September 12, 2026. What's happening on September 19 is about verification and confirming or cancelling admissions — not a fresh allotment list.
