The deadline is part of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) schedule for the Round 2 admission process.

One important point for candidates is that September 21 is not the date for a new Round 2 seat allotment result. KEA had already released the Round 2 final seat allotment result on September 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

After the final allotment was announced, candidates were required to complete their fee payment and download the Seat Confirmation Slip between September 16 and September 19. The remaining step is to report physically to the allotted college and complete the admission process by 5 PM today.

11,238 Fresh Allotments Does Not Mean 11,238 Candidates in the Final List

The published final lists therefore show:

  • Medical final list: 11,551 records, including 8,772 fresh Round 2 allotments and 2,779 candidates who had reported in Round 1.
  • Dental final list: 2,689 records, including 2,466 fresh Round 2 allotments and 223 candidates reported in Round 1.

Because of this, it would not be correct to say that 11,238 candidates were in the final list or that 11,551 seats were allotted in Round 2. A more accurate description is that the medical final list contains 11,551 records, including both fresh Round 2 allotments and candidates who were already reported in Round 1.

What Round 2 Candidates Need to Do Before 5 PM

For candidates who have received a Round 2 seat, the main priority today is completing the final admission steps at the allotted college.

Candidates should check their allotment status on the KEA UGNEET portal, make sure the required fee payment was completed during the September 16–19 window, and carry their Seat Confirmation Slip along with the required documents.

Most importantly, candidates must report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities before 5 PM today.

Getting a seat allotted does not by itself mean that the admission process is complete. Candidates must also finish the required reporting and institutional formalities within the given deadline. Missing the deadline may affect the seat status under the counselling rules, so candidates should not assume that the deadline has been extended unless KEA issues a fresh notice.

459 MBBS Seats Reportedly Remain Vacant After Round 2

Another important development following Round 2 is that 459 MBBS seats reportedly remained vacant.

At the same time, all BDS seats were allotted, with 2,689 out of 2,689 BDS seats allotted.
