Patna: On 14 October 2026, the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) released an important corrigendum (Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/13) for the ongoing UGMAC Round 3 online counselling under NEET UG 2026. This is not just a date change. It explains the freeze status of allotted candidates, what happens if you do not complete your admission, and who can take part in the upcoming Stray Vacancy Round.
All Round 3 Candidates Are Now “Freeze” Candidates
The original Round 3 notice, dated 30 September 2026, gave B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. candidates the usual choice between “Freeze” and “Float”. Because of a technical problem, the Board has now clarified the following:

All candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 will be treated as Freeze candidates.

Do not assume that your seat has been automatically floated for an upgrade.

The Provisional Seat Allotment Order is the final document for your college and course.
Who Can Join the Stray Vacancy Round? Three Situations
The corrigendum divides candidates into three groups. Find the one that matches you.
Situation 1: MBBS/BDS seat allotted, but admission not completed

Your allotted seat is cancelled and your security deposit is forfeited.

You can still take part in the Stray Vacancy Round by giving your consent on the UGMAC portal and paying the counselling fee and security deposit again.

Important: you will be eligible only for B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.F.Sc. seats, not MBBS or BDS.
Situation 2: Veterinary/Fisheries seat allotted and documents verified successfully

You must confirm your admission by submitting your original documents at the allotted institute.

After you give your consent, you remain eligible for MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. seats in the Stray Vacancy Round.
Situation 3: Veterinary/Fisheries seat allotted, but admission not completed

Your seat is cancelled and your deposit is forfeited.

However, if you give fresh consent and make the payment again, you can compete for all four courses in the Stray Vacancy Round.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Report in person at your allotted institute within the given dates, with all required original documents.
