About the course:

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) course is a postgraduate medical degree for MBBS students who want to study and specialize in a particular field of medicine. The eligibility criteria for MD are an MBBS degree. After completing an MBBS degree, students can go for an MD program. MD in Pathology is 3 years long postgraduate medical program which deals with the diagnosis of diseases and their treatments. This course aims to train students to perform high-quality diagnoses in any specified clinical situation using samples of fluid, blood, tissue etc.

MD Pathology course is certified by the Medical Council of India. This course is perfect for students who want to work as Pathologists. Currently, in India, there are various private/government colleges/institutes where MD Pathology course is available. The fees in private colleges are usually higher than the government ones. It can go from INR 5,000 to INR 10-12 lakhs per annum.

After course completion, graduates can earn a salary of INR 50,000 to INR 80,000 per month. Some students also go for higher studies after completing their MD degree.

The duration of MD Pathology:

An MD Pathology course is a 3 years long postgraduate course in medicine. This program on finding diseases’ causes, effects etc. Under this course, students study various pathology subjects like microbiology, immunology, medical genetics, neuroscience etc.
