About the course:
The Doctor of Medicine (MD) course is a postgraduate medical degree for MBBS students who want to study and specialize in a certain field of medicine. The eligibility criteria for MD are an MBBS degree. After completing an MBBS degree, students can go for an MD program. MD in anatomy is a 3-year long post-graduate medical program for students who want to work as become specialists or researchers in the anatomy field.
Anatomy is a field where individuals study living structures whether humans, animals or plants by dissecting them. Anatomy is divided into two words ‘Ana’ and ‘tome’, which means ‘a cutting’. This course provides knowledge about different categories like embryology, histology and anthropology etc.
Currently, in India, there are various private/government colleges/institutes where an MD anatomy course is available. The fees in private colleges are usually higher than the government ones. The tuition fees for MD anatomy can go from INR 10,000 to INR 8, 00,000 per annum.

MD anatomy course is a 3-year postgraduate course. During this course, students get a thorough understanding of all the body’s organ systems’ ontology as well as the important stages of human growth and development.
