The School of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSR) is a premier medical college, established in the year 2009 under Sharda University located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is affiliated with Sharda University and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

 

The School of Medical Sciences and Research is approved for an intake of 250 students in the MBBS course by the Medical Council of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. The school provides comprehensive facilities for teaching, research, and patient care.

ELIGIBILITY FOR NEET- PG:

NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is an entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for admission to various postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, PG Diploma, etc. in India.

The eligibility criteria for NEET-PG admission are as follows:

1.    Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a recognized MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a recognized medical college or university.

2.    Internship: Candidates should have completed their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before 31st March of the year in which they are appearing for NEET-PG.

3.    Registration: Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council (SMC).

4.    Citizenship: Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are eligible to appear for NEET-PG.

FELLOWSHIP CUM ASSISTANSHIP FOR PH.D. STUDENT:

Sharda University ln order to encourage research activities and attract meritorious students in Ph.D. programs’ Sharda University, Greater Noida awards Fellowship-cum-Assistantship for full-time Ph.D. students. The following are the guidelines:

 

1. Fellowship-cum-Assistantship shall be awarded only to full-time Ph.D. students admitted through the entrance test.

 

2. Those who are NET/GATE qualified will get a fellowship worth Rs. 15000.00 per month and other full-time students will get a fellowship worth Rs. 8000.00 per month from the date of joining the Ph.D. program and reporting to Sharda University.

 

3. In addition to fellowship, students may get a teaching assistantship, depending on the availability of workload of l2.hours per week in the School/Department' For this Rs. 10000.00 per month will be paid extra.

 

4. Teaching Assistantship will be offered only to those Ph.D. Scholars who have successfully completed their coursework with a minimum 7.0 CGPA and on the basis of the selection test for an assistantship. 6

 

5. Fellowship-Cum-Assistantship will be awarded for a period up to 3 years.

6. If the workload in any month is less than hours/week, the Teaching Assistantship amount will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

 

7. Payment to the Ph.D. scholar for a month will be released only on receipt of details of research and teaching activities carried out by him/her, duly verified by supervisor(s) and Head of the Department.

 

8. Progress of the work of the Ph.D. scholar will be monitored by SRC every six months and the Fellowship-cum-Assistantship will be renewed based on satisfactory progress. g. If the research plan of the student is not approved within a year from the date of admission, the fellowship may be terminated.
