The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda offers a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), a five-and-a-half-year program including a one-year rotating internship comprising 63 seats. It is duly recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH, the Government of India, and the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong.

Admission criteria for BAMS at the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda: The student must qualify in NEET for admission in BAMS – NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted for granting admission for UG seats at the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda.
