North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda, founded in 2016, stands as a prominent Government healthcare institution located in Shillong, Meghalaya. Run and managed by the autonomous body newly established under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The institution was established to revive the essence of Ayurveda (part of AYUSH, which includes Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy) by providing high-quality education to eager minds. North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda offers undergraduate and postgraduate Ayurvedic care programs, including BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) with 63 intakes, 31 seats will be for All India Quota, 31 seats will be for North East States Quota and one seat is for Foreign National.
