Institute of Rural Management Anand also known as IRMA, is a private institute. IRMA is approved by AICTE and AIU. The institute was founded in 1979 in Anand, Gujarat. Dr. Verghese Kurien, known as the ‘Father of the White Revolution in India’, founded IRMA at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, the erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
IRMA G has been ranked 54 in the 'Management' category by NIRF 2023. The college has been given an ‘A’ grade by TIME Best B-School 2021. The college offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) and PGDM (RM-X) at the PG level FPM (RM) at the doctoral level, and MDPs courses to the students.
At the PG diploma level, the college provides a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) and a 15-month PGDM (RM-X). At the doctoral level, the college provides a minimum of three years and a maximum of five FPM (RM) courses to the students.
The mode of IRMA Anand admission is online. Admission to various courses is based on the entrance exam followed by PI and IWAT rounds. The Personal Interviews will be conducted only in offline mode in the 13 centres across India. These locations are Anand, Bhopal, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Patna, and Mumbai.
During IRMA placements in 2023, the highest and average packages during IRMA placements in 2023 stood at INR 26.50 LPA and INR 15 LPA, respectively. Moreover, the top recruiters of IRMA in 2023 included Flipkart, Dabur, Adani Group, Godrej, and ITC.
