ICARE Institute of Medical Science and Research & Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia has been running with an annual intake of 100 MBBS seats out of which 33 seats are earmarked for UG MBBS admission (Concessional fees) and the remaining 67 seats are for management quota (higher fees).

Permission letter for NRI Quota:

Now, the undersigned is directed to accord approval to the proposal of conversion of 15% of the total seats of 100 i.e. 15 seats to NRI quota for admission of NRI students. This will reduce the number of management quota seats to 52 from the existing 67 keeping the state quota of 33 seats intact.

The institution offers courses in medical specialties at the undergraduate level. The course is recognised by the Medical Council of India and affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health & Science. It admits 100 students for the MBBS.

Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants are required to have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized Board, Council, or University, and have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined, as well as have passed English. COURSE NAMES: PG- NEET MD,MS, OR DIPLOMA

Duration: The duration of Postgraduate Medical Education in broad specialties is three years for the degree course and two years for the diploma course after completion of MBBS. 

For super specialties, the duration is three years after completing MD/MS, except where indicated otherwise.

ELIGIBILITY FOR NEET- PG:

NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is an entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for admission to various postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, PG Diploma, etc. in India.

The eligibility criteria for NEET-PG admission are as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a recognized MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a recognized medical college or university.
  2. Internship: Candidates should have completed their one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before 31st March of the year in which they are appearing for NEET-PG.
  3. Registration: Candidates should have a valid registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council (SMC).
