Al-Badar Dental College and Hospital was founded in the year 1992 by Al-Badar Educational and Charitable Trust. The main aim of this medical college was to provide quality education in the field of dentistry.
Al Badar Rural Dental College offers UG(BDS) and PG dental courses(MDS) to the students. Under MDS courses, 7 specialisations are available. These MDS specialisations are-

- Periodontics
- Prosthodontics
- Endodontics
- Oral Pathology
Admission to the BDS course is given through the NEET UG examination and admission to the MDS course is given through the NEET MDS examination.
The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is approved by DCI. Al Badar Rural Dental College is also approved by the Government and the Ministry of Karnataka and is an emerging one among the Best BDS Colleges in Karnataka.
In the beginning, Al Badar Rural Dental College used to work on its own building near the bus stand but later it was built on a 6-acre land near the Naganhalli Road. In this building, all the dental departments are available. The total area of this medical college is 125,000 square feet.
The vision of Al Badar Rural Dental College is "To provide access to quality higher education in health sciences and related areas, to create vibrant knowledge and inspire the leaders of tomorrow who can take the country to the forefront amongst the developed nations."
