Every year, the IK Gujaral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) organises a centralised counselling procedure. This counselling procedure is organised for those students who wish to take admission to various UG and PG programs of PTU University.

What are the eligibility criteria for the PTUCET 2024 exam?

Here are the eligibility requirements for the PTUCET 2024 examination, for the aspirants who want to appear in PTUCET 2024 examination.

Eligibility requirements for B.Tech. program:

  • The student should have cleared/passed class 12th level or equivalent exam from a recognised board or by the Central/ State government.
  • The students should have studied Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, and Biology subjects as mandatory subjects in the qualifying exam.
  • The student should have obtained/secured 45% marks in the qualifying exam (40% for reserved category students) to be eligible for the PTUCET 2024 exam.

Eligibility requirements for the M.Tech program:

  • The student should have a B.Tech./ B.E or equivalent degree from any recognized university/ institute.
  • The student should have a valid GATE score.
  • The student should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category students) in the qualifying exam.

What steps are needed during the registration process for the PTUCET 2024 examination?

If anybody wishes to appear in the PTUCET 2024 exam,he/she will have to first fill out the PTUCET 2024 application form. Only after filling out the application form, the student will be able to appear in the PTUCET 2024 examination. While filling out the PTUCET 2024 application form, the students can follow the below-mentioned steps. 

  • First, the applicant will go to the official website of PTU .
  • Now the student will do the registration procedure by pressing the available link on the homepage.
  • In this step, the student will register himself/herself on the website by entering the basic details such as name, date of birth, gender, email ID, etc.
  • Once the registration is done, the applicant can proceed to complete the application form process.
  • Now the applicant will fill out the application form with details such as personal, and academic qualifications, address, contact details, etc.
  • After filing the form, the applicant will upload the scanned document such as a passport-size photograph and signature. It is important to note that the uploaded images should be in the prescribed format and size otherwise the registration will be rejected.
  • Now the student will pay the applicant fees for the PTUCET 2024 exam. 
  • After paying the application fee, the student will recheck all the entered details in the application form and submit the form.
  • At the end, the student is advised to take a hard copy of the application form for future use.

The students should follow the below-mentioned steps while downloading the PTU CET 2024 admit card. Although the schedule of the PTUCET 2024 exam is still not out, the students can check the dates of the admit card release once the schedule is out.

  • Firstly, the student will go to the official website of PTU CET 2024 ptu.ac.in
  • Now the student will go to the examination section on the website
  • In this step, the student will log in to the account using his/her credentials.
  • After logging in on the website, the student will search for the "Admit Card/Hall Ticket" option.
  • After that, the student will download the admit card in PDF format.
  • At the end, the student will keep a printout of the admit card for future reference and security purposes.
