DTE is going to release the Assam PAT 2024 application form on its official website dte.assam.gov.in. The students who wish to appear in this exam should fill out and submit the Assam PAT application form along with the application fee before the last date of registration. This year, Assam PAT 2024 exam is expected to be conducted in June 2024. 

The Assam PAT examination is conducted as a pen-and-paper-based test at various centres. Before participating in the registration process for the Assam PAT 2024 exam, the students are advised to first check the official eligibility criteria. Only the students who will successfully register themselves for the Assam PAT 2024 exam, will be able to download the admit card of the exam. It is important to note that without the admit card, the students will not be allowed to attempt the entrance exam. 

The basic eligibility criteria for Assam PAT 2024 are that the student should have cleared/passed the 10th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. The minimum age limit for the exam is 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 24 years.

The conducting authority of the Assam PAT 2024 exam is the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam. Every year, DTE Assam conducts this exam for admission into three-year diploma courses in Engineering and Technology. Allotment of seats will be done based on Assam PAT scores along with other particulars.

What are the eligibility criteria for the Assam PAT 2024 examination?

Here are the eligibility requirements for the Assam PAT 2024 examination, for the aspirants who want to appear in the Assam PAT 2024 examination. If the student fails to fulfil the requirements of the Assam PAT 2024 exam, he/she will not be able to sit in the Assam PAT 2024 exam. 

  • The students who belong to the General/OBC category should be 20 years 6 months on the admission year while Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe students should be 23 years 6 months on the admission year.
  • The student should clear/qualify/pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as a compulsory subject with 40% marks [average] in Mathematics and Science for General students.
  • 35% marks in Mathematics and Science for Scheduled Caste students.
  • 33% marks in Mathematics and Science for Scheduled Tribes students.
  • For Institutions outside Assam, the upper age limit is 20 years and 6 months on the admission year.

What steps should the students follow during the registration process for the Assam PAT 2024 examination?

The students can follow the following steps while registering for the Assam PAT 2024 examination.

  • Firstly, the student will visit the official website of Assam PAT 2024 dte.assam.gov.in.
  • Now the student will click on the "Apply Online" link.
  • In this step, the student will register himself/herself on the portal by providing basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
  • Now the student will receive the login credentials on the registered mobile number or email ID. With the help of login credentials, the student will log in to the portal.
  • Then the student will fill in the required personal and academic details in the application form.
  • After that, the student will upload the scanned copy of the passport-size photograph and signature in the specified format.
  • Then the student will preview the application form to ensure that all details provided are correct.
