Issue Of Admit Card (Online) for AILET: Monday, November 20, 2023

Date of AILET Exam (to be conducted Offline): Sunday, December 10, 2023 (11.00 AM-1.00 PM)

Registration fee for All India Law Entrance Test (AILET): BA.LLB., LLM, PH.D.

To complete the registration process, candidates are required to pay the AILET Registration fee. The fee consists of non-refundable components and must be paid online.

Non-refundable Fee:

  • General: Rs. 3,500
  • SC/ST/OBC: Rs. 1,500
  • Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of the SC/ST category: exempted from application fee.

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET): Eligibility Criteria for B.A.LL. B (Hons.)

The B.A.LL. B (Hons.) eligibility criteria are outlined as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities).
  2. Candidates appearing for the 12th standard annual examination in 2024 are eligible to apply.
  3. Citizenship: AILET is open to Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals. Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET but should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
  4. Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks in the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 40% marks.
  5. Total seats: 110+10

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET): Eligibility Criteria for LL.M (One year program)

The LL. M (One year program) eligibility criteria are outlined as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification: LL.B. or an equivalent law degree with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities).
  2. Candidates appearing for the final year LL.B. annual examination in 2024 are eligible to apply.
  3. Citizenship: AILET is open to Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals. Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET.
  4. Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the LL.B. or an equivalent law degree, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 45% marks.
  5. Total seats: 70+10

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET): Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. in Law (Ph.D. programme)

The Ph.D. in Law (Ph.D. programme) eligibility criteria are outlined as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification: LL.M. or an equivalent law degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities or, etc.).
  2. Citizenship: AILET is open to Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals. Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET.
  3. Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 55% marks in the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must secure a minimum of 50% marks.
  4. Total seats: 25+2

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET): Test Cities

AILET-2024 will be conducted in the following cities: Bengaluru, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Kota, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Shimla, Siliguri, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.

NOTE: In case the number of candidates at any test city is less than 100, the test center will not be created in that city and candidates will be allotted test city as per their 2nd/3rd preference of test city.

The fee payable fall into three categories: 

  1. Annual fee;
  2. one-time fee; and 
  3. Deposits.

Admission Fee (one time): 10,000/-

Tuition Fee (p.a): 1,42,000/-

USD 12,200 for Non-SAARC country

USD 6,100 for SAARC Country

Academic services and facilities (p.a): 43,000/-

Student welfare fund (p.a): 7,000/-

Utility Services (p.a): 20,000/-

Halls of Residence Charges (For Hostler) (p.a): 83,000/-

Mess Charges (p.a.): 45,000/-

The following increase in Tuition fees & Halls of Residence Charges (For hostelers) will be made every year in B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Programme.

Other fees will be the same as applicable to Indian students.

National Law University, Delhi: Admission/Counseling process for B.A. LL.B., LL.M. & Ph.D.  

Step 1: Registration

Steps to register for AILET:

  1. Visit the official website at www.nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
  2. Click on AILET 2024 Registration.'
  3. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number for AILET 2024.
  4. Make a note of your login credentials.
  5. Complete the application form.
  6. Provide your personal and academic details.
  7. Upload the photograph, signature, and other documents
  8. Review the form before submitting it.

Step 2: Registration fee

To complete the registration process, candidates must pay the AILET fee. The fee consists of non-refundable components and must be paid online.

Step 3: Result declaration

National Law University, Delhi, releases the result of AILET as a seat allotment list. The AILET seat allotment list is uploaded in PDF format on the official website.

Step 4: Reporting to the Institute & Document verification

Candidates allocated a seat in the AILET 2024, must report to the allotted institute. They need to bring all their original certificates along with a self-attested copy. Additionally.
